Can anyone help me with the correct wiring for the ignition for a Ford 351 Solid State ignition?
The wires I have do not match the diagram in the owners manual for PCM boat motor. The orange wire should go from the battery to the starter – from the starter to the altanator according to the book, however The RED wire goes directly from the battery to the cilinode. The orange goes from the altanator to the cilinode. The book doesn’t even show the white wires that is the nutraul by pass. The volt meter on the dash goes to aprox 16 volts when started and stayes there, I believe it should only go to aprox 14v and the it should drop down. On the other hand everything works, but its just not right. Can anyone help?
16 is good the regulator should take care of the rest .
