What’s the best way to repair a cast iron block with a crack that has to hold oil under pressure?
This is in a tractor casting that houses the power steering cylinder.
my take was that you’re out of luck.
unless, of course, you don’t mind it cracking again, and squirting the oil all over again.
not to mention what the pressure might do to the casting.
but Nigel seems to understand.
I’d worry, but might take his advice.
however, first I’d check to see if i couldn’t buy one first.
that would be my hope.
